For $3250.00 I'd just keep my 200 ponies and do a lot more with that money. I mean, 80 to 90 hp gain.....well it is just not worth that much money to me. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see someday a supercharged SVT Contour and how it will performed. Guess I'll save the money for other stuff On a different note, do you have any idea abou the torque figures?? I hope SHM comes up with a performance gain sheet. Ya, and add another couple of grand to buy and install a Quaife and a beefed-up clutch. It would be worth it if you could afford it, you'd surprise a lot of cars with a sleeper like that. I, however, can afford no such thing. ------------------ 2 Red Tours! '96 GL V6 ATX - the wifes ride '98 SVT with both options - my toy! OF's TH fix / K&N / Glove Box Light / an dats it!

Call me crazy, but it has taken them FOREVER to make one for the SVT, and if it took them this long, I wonder if it's gonna be reliable.
I remember them having a LOT of problems trying to get it to work safely because of the high compression, and that's not something I wanna hear when buying a SC.
I'm thinking.....
$1300 for Quaife $500 for clutch $600 for install for above two $3300 for SHM SC
= close to $6k. No thanx, I'll pass.
But to those that already have the Grizzly and Quaife, it's not a bad deal. But me personally, I'll save $6k towards my FFR Coupe.

This is the exzact reason we will never see a cossie here or for that matter any other suped up product. I dont want you guys to think I am railing on you, but for months and months always no s/c for svt now there is one and no thanks is all I hear. I am suprised they even made it at all. May I remind you many people got the SVT in the 20 K area so ya s/c $3200, quaiffe $1200 clutch $400 install your looking at $6000.00 more money then I have right now (for car goodies) and its alot, but that puts my car with all those parts and a set of Konis, and baer breaks or hell even the AP racing set up and I am still only looking at the price of a new 323 BMW $31,000.00 may I also remind you the cougar that was fitted with the s/c had more then enoughf to embarass the hell out of far more exspensive cars.
So buy a used SVT 13000 add 7k in parts and your into it the price of a new Accord. but please dont become naysayers now.

Screw the naysayers!!! I will have a forced induction SVT Contour by SZ '01 for all to see!!! I have the money and I want a fast SVT Contour! Not a fast something else!
Though I will want to see the dyno plot for the SHM and wait till around Feb/Mar to see if a better unit comes out...
But let there be no confusion...when I show up to SZ '01 my SVT will have a super or turbo!

woohooo, i got a SE and i like this, iam in the process of buying a house, but afterwards if everything works out i may only have 1 payment for my car and house and my beefed up CC.... if thats the case i can easily get 5k - 6k and put this together on my car, i payed 18k for my car, this includes, aftermarket stereo system, KKM\BAT Intake, Bassani Exhaust\Konis\Eihbachs\superchip\udp Pulley and other misc stuff... add 6k and my total is 24k, now show me a car that isnt so obvious that could run low 14s maybe high 13s???? can you say sleeper?

I would be all over a kit, I just don't have the cash handy (getting married, less than 2 weeks) or time.
Shoot, if I had the cash and time and workspace, I'd be doing my own sc or turbo setup.
It's all about balance.
