I think they used plastic on the other valve cover to elliminate a radiant heat source from under the intake.
The box on the front of the oil pan looks to be where the pickup is so it probably helped in getting more oil to the system quickly, but would definitely interfer with the Contour subframe.
I think I finally see what Terry is talking about with the direct acting buckets. There aren't any lifter arms etc.
The waterpump is cam gear driven on the front and for our use the cam cover would have to be changed along with the oil pan. An eletric Waterpump is a must. The only question this brings up is are the 3.0 blocks universal so that there are provisions for rear pump and front pump? Cover plates etc?
The lower intake looks exactly the same as my 3.0 Taurus peice, at least from what I can see.

Jag Long block
ST220 UIM
Taurus LIM
24Lbs. Injectors
2.5 Valve covers (if they work?)
2.5 SVT Oil Pan
2.5 Timing chain cover
DMD if not already present.
