lol...I was going to go 3L but a few things kept me from going that way, one of which being money. I wanted the best improvment over stock that I could get with less hastle. So the SVT engine was it. I don't have enough knowledge of engine internals to be pulling them apart and swapping out heads, cams, shot blocks, LIM, injectors etc etc etc.
Regarding the filter, it will actually sit just below the fans (I measured it), so I think it's not going to get any more heatsoak then it would being in stock position up top. But we'll see.
