The Last 'New Edge' Cougar is supposed to roll down the assembly line in a few weeks. It was a hit for a year, then sales tanked by the time the 2000 models came out in fall 99.
There wasn't enough support for the car. Old timers hated it and young buyers moved on to other newer looking cars.
