When you guys think about that, do you factor in the tires?? Saving 2 lbs on a wheel isn't gonna help much if you gain it back on the tires. I've never weighed different brands of tires side by side but I think there might be differences... I've always weighed my rolling stock with tires mounted.
FWIW, my E0 SVT wheels with Goodyear GT+4s weighed 40lbs each. My 18" Ace Spades with Toyo T1-S also weigh exactly 40lbs. They do slow the car down some because those 40 lbs are concentrated farther to the outside than on the SVT 16" setup. As far as the suspension is concerned though, the weight of the setup is the same...
