Yes. Mine doesn, though. It would if I didn't have a lead foot! I get between 40-45 mpg. And that's with fast takeoffs and 80 mph cruising speeds. Mileage sucks right now because I use the AC so much. My old Contour (Zetec) never got better than 25 mpg.

Hey packrat nice car I had a 98 with the 2.0 litre. There a good sound car. I have muffler for sale that looks good on those cars. Never used. Where the ends bend up is the only part that sticks out.
