I reviewed the information both from the club and from Ford's TSB. Actually the Ford bulletin does not make mention of any friction modifiers. Apparently Ford's new fluid has the desired effect when used alone. Friction modifiers are designed to alter the coefficient of friction in either direction so we're not really sure if the club members are going for more or less friction.
The Contour club members are certainly free to experiment if they desire, but until we have more information we are not going to recommend our fluid to be used in place of Ford's XT-M5-QS, with or without additional modifiers. Our product has not been compared against this fluid nor has it been tested with the friction modifier. This may change in time, but for now, we recommend using Ford's corrective measures as opposed to The Contour/Mystique Owners Club fix.
