I just don't want to ad the modifier to amsoil and findout it adds too much or something.
hmmm... Terry "cocktail" means the modifier right? not the XT-M5-QS. At 15-20 bucks a quart I'd think mobil or ams would be a better deal.
Still unsure myself...
Thanks for the feedback though! Ray All I did was drain the Ford stuff then refill it with Amsoil......easy no regreats no problems, friction modifier not needed! Its been a few years and shifts smooth.

I just helped PA3LSVT do his tranny cocktail and he loved it. He used Mobil 1 ATF and Ford's friction modifier. It is time to do mine as I just bought my second SVT but all I can find in the Poconos is B&M, no Mobil 1. (Go figure) Is the friction modifier recommended w/ B&M's ATF as well?

Demon advised to stay away from the B&M. Apparently it is really meant for ATX only. It has a bunch of additives in it that Mobil 1 ATF doesn't, like anti-foamers and friction mod already in there. If you want, I'll grab up some Mobil 1 ATF down here and bring it to you. Or you could order it from here . Oh yeah, and the Mobil 1 cocktail totally kicks ass. Much better than the Torco I was using to break in the new diff!
