The Dyna-Batt is a dry cell, so it can be mounted in any direction. I don't seem to have any problems with mine, but then again I live in S. Florida where it doesn't get to cold. I will say that it's been down in the upper 30's for the past couple of nights, and the car cranks right over. It also holds a great charge like when the car sat at Ford for 10
days while the tranny was being done.
