Now how does he manage to keep the bike going once he is back there? It's not like bikes have cruise control. I mean, he can pop it in neutral, but once you let go of the throttle, your done.

If you look closely he has it ghetto-rigged...so it keeps going and probably so the front wheel doesn't turn easily and send him sprawling.
