For those of you that didn't know, and sorry if this has been posted.
GM has announced plans to introduce the Australian Holden Motor Company?s Manaro
into it?s ranks for 2004. GM owns the Holden Motor company and has been exporting GM power-trains for use in the Australian chassis for some time now.
The new car will be called the Pontiac GTO and will offer the LS1 V8 engine, 6 speed trans, and standard I.R.S. The interior looks very nice from the pictures and much less generic than the present f-body?s which it will replace. Also the engine compartments are MUCH
easier to work on than the present f-body's.
At present the car kinda looks a little like a cross between a Chevy Cavalier and a Pontiac Grand Prix (about the same size). Pontiac has plans to redo some of the body work and make the front end more aggressive looking.
F-body guys have mixed feelings on this one. Old school car guys hate it and think that GM is abusing the GTO nameplate.
To see the long history of the Holden, go to

Here are some new pics:

I think this is cool!
What do you guys think?
