every Zetec in every contour, ZX2, and Focus, in america is DOHC. I am pretty sure that Zetec means a DOHC setup period, but I know there were several older versions of the Zetec running around in the UK with different displacements, there is a 1.8L zetec listing in almost every UK Ford tuner catalog. Dr. Boom: there are tons of contour owners who would love to "be different" and get crazy doing all kind of custom engine work(myself included), but most of us own a contour because its cheap, thereforewe don't have 4 large to just throw into our cars.
I know that I personaly have invested waaay to much time and money in my contour, I think the running tally is about $5K over the course of the last 3 years.
