I did this too and it did make it a lot brighter, I'd say just about stock brightness! I didn't tape them back on though. I got some spray adhesive (Elmer's Craft Bond) to glue them down and make sure every part was touching. Plus I got to noticing that some of the bulbs in the cluster were brighter than others so I swapped bulbs around and that made even more of a difference! Now it's all good! I probably will get Brads indiglo gauges when he gets them finished, seeing as how I wanted those in the first place. I got these to tide over my craving for new gauges! smile
