Funny you mention it, there is a movie being made about the gumball 3000 :p . http://www.gyromart.com/gumball3000.php Award winning film director Spike Jonze ('Being John Malkovich' and numerous music videos) will be documenting the whole event for a feature length movie to be released in 2003.

Am I the only one that thinks this video is the shear epitimy of assclownery? I guess the phrase "more money than brains" fits ever so snug in regards to this video.

Those idiots are nothing more than immature rice-boys with substantially more disposable income. Instead of $15k guided missiles on crowded highways, we've got $150k machines being piloted by people with the driving skills of a deer with down syndrome. Watching that video makes me want to reach through the monitor, pull those ****heads through the screen, and strangle them with my bare hands. The sad part is, those cock monkeys in the riced M3 are local to me. With any luck, Darwin will take these dicks out before they cause serious harm to any innocent bystanders.

Lemme think back to the last time that I passed someone on the shoulder at twice the speed limit. Or the last time I ran from the cops (oops, little close to home on that one, JB). Those gobblers are practically forcing other drivers off the road for their own entertainment, yet between all of their collective fat asses, how many of them have ever had any real instruction on high speed driving on a road course, let alone dicking around on public highways in the middle of dense traffic!? Those people should take their keys and shove them up their cornholes. At least then they wouldn't be able to drive and yet again be a menace to public safety. Unless their persuasion allows them to retrieve said keys easier than you would hope, anyways. Point being? Someone could say that a scat clip was of the utmost production caliper, yet I won't use that as an excuse to download and view it.

Well I for one think the majority of these guys have the credentials to drive there cars. I would not doubt most have been to driving schools like Bondurant or Jim Russel. These guys have plenty of cash, so why wouldn't they take some instruction, obiviously they can afford it. Sure what they did was unsafe, put some other peoples lives in danger and it was unlawful but it goes on everyday. No its not legal, but is happens everyday. I hope to make it big someday and be able to afford to enjoy my life just like these proud car owners. I am jealous and envious of there stupidity :p http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Gumball3000/

Hell, If half of them had been to some driving schools, they would no how dangerous it is to drive like that, and how split second decisions can make or break you. Obviously going to a driving school didn't work, or they would know how ignorant they are being. Looks like they wasted their money. Sure what they did was unsafe, put some other peoples lives in danger and it was unlawful but it goes on everyday. Murder, rape, and child abuse go on everyday too, and probably in a lot greater numbers than idiot driving. Should we make excuses for these offenders as well, because they are doing something "on the edge" that they enjoy? I am a "proud" car owner as well. But I don't think I will display my pride in a way like this.

These guys have plenty of cash, so why wouldn't they take some instruction, obiviously they can afford it. [/b] On the contrary. The Gumball is populated by nothing more than rich *******s who buy expensive cars to match their inflated egos. The mere thought of a "driving school" is insulting to the typical entrant. More to the point. The entire concept of the Gumball Rally invites and indeed encourages reckless driving. See who drives across the country over public roads in the quickest time? Whatever. There are other ways to blow money and inflate your ego if you have the capital to own prestigious cars such as seen in the video. If those pricks indeed had any reasonable amount of skill, they would compete in a real event, such as the One Lap of America, or the Open Track Challenge. These events actually play towards your driving skill, not your need to drive recklessly. Sure what they did was unsafe, put some other peoples lives in danger and it was unlawful but it goes on everyday. No its not legal, but is happens everyday. Yes, it does happen everyday. What is truly disgusting is that the Gumball actually ****ing glorifies what these clowns do. What better way to make the streets safer than to get the idea that reckless driving is cool into yet more impressionable youths. I'd rather see these pricks behind bars. The only thing they succeed in doing is worsening the public image of Driving Enthusiasts. If you want real drivers with real skill flaunting their real cars, check out the One Lap of America or the Open Track Challenge .
