Ok, this is my first time posting pictures so forgive me if it doesn't work.

A little Memorial Day get together with some fast cars-Viper GTS, Corvette ZO6, Lingenfelter 350 Camaro SS, and my little 'ol Contour. Ahhh, rear-drive V8 (or 10) power...The ZO6 was my personal favorite.

Sorry for the quality.

The Viper was a lot of fun, and VERY conspicuous-we definitely got the most attention in that car. It was the quickest in a straight line, but I thought that the ZO6 handled better. Ergonomics-wise, the ZO6 wins hands down. The Viper had a very strange seating position/relationship between the pedals, seat and wheel. The pedals are way off to the left from where your butt and hands are. You have to move the seat WAY up to be able to push the clutch in all the way, and then the gas and brake pedals are too close. The pedals are manually adjustable, but I believe that the adjustment moves all of them at once. Getting hard on the gas causes quite a stench inside the car. Don't get me wrong, it is an amazing car and would be a blast on the track, but I couldn't live with it on a long road trip or as a daily driver. But I guess that's not really the point of the Viper, is it? Too bad we didn't have a chance to see what it could really do. wink

The ZO6 on the other hand is all-around a phenomenal road car. Awesome power and braking, super handling, great ergonomics, neat features (heads-up display standard). This is the car that I would love to take on a cross-country drive, and then blast around on the track when I got there. Now I want a Corvette!!
