I was thinking New Cougar with a bad body kit. It's those round badges that remind me of the old Cougar badges.
I can see a bit of Audi in there as well.

I'm thinking a cross of the new eclipse rear, RSX roffline, and supra front nose. Although, it's still a hot looking car.

That is the Tib that was showcased at the Detroit Autoshow. If I can remember correctly, this particular Tibarun had a Momo or Sparco seats, racing harnesses connected to a rollcage, and many other mods. It also had a front and rear Brembo brakes.
The Opel pics look more like the concept car Extreme, rather than the Astra.

Funny that you say this because GM and Ford has been ripping off designs from each other as well as European car makers for years! I would buy a Hyundai, but I would immediately mod the car with aftermarket parts.
