And yet this has been the tradition of hot-rodders since the 50's. OK. Some of them see a drag strip from time to time, so what. The aesthetic statement takes center stage. And the Chevy Bel Aire was a family car.

what the hell is wrong with painting the mirror attachments?? Contours and Mondeos all look much
better with those painted instead of the stock plastic crapola imho.
The reason those are black is so they blend in with the window glass, making the windows look longer than they really are. Painting them the body color shortens the apparent window opening, and boxes off the ends. Crash test mules don't even have these plastic inserts, which is why I made the comment. I don't care for this look on any CDW 27.

If you want to alter them, I'd say paint them gloss black, or do some kind of C/F treatment. That would be cool.

I am pretty sure that the Mondeo listed is an all wheel drive version. Thats probably the reason why the tires are wider than
normal.
AWD or not, the tires mounted are too skinny for those rims. Wide tires are great, but you need a rim width that's about 85 to 95% of the tire's section width. Those rims appear to be about 110% of the tire width. Not only does it look goofy, but it hurts performance and probably isn't safe. Not to mention curb rash.
