No, you guys have gotten it all wrong!
This is the next generation, 4-door Mustang. Ford decided to scrap the ancient Fox (Fairmont) based platform/chassis in favor of the Escort platform. They said they could get another 20 years without updating the design. A wagon version is next.
Debuts in 2004.
