Of course you can do whatever you want to your own crush zones... I'm modifying an ST200 front end to fit my car some day... after I finish all I want to do for power that is. It's sitting in the rafters of my garage. Believe me, it's at least 2-3 inches shorter and looks much better IMHO, but it's not a bolt on mod though.
