It replaces the bumper cover, not the entire bumper assembly.

So, not being a "major" manufacturer yourelf, you'll be able to help us out...

Can we mabee re-design the piece (I guess the actual "bumper", that black piece) behind the bumper cover to have it sloped down, or have it mounted differently and have something mounted on top of it??? confused

Of course you can do whatever you want to your own crush zones... I'm modifying an ST200 front end to fit my car some day... after I finish all I want to do for power that is. It's sitting in the rafters of my garage. Believe me, it's at least 2-3 inches shorter and looks much better IMHO, but it's not a bolt on mod though. frown

I'll help you out by posting a "how to" on the Mondeo front end, but by the time I do it, there should be a couple others done by then. Donations are being taken at Paypal to my bnmotorsports@msn.com email address if you'd like to donate. laugh

Will you have to cut the crap out of the front end of your car? Is it too big in some areas and too small in others? Do you think it'll look right? Sorry for askin' you a bunch of questions, but I'm kinda interested on this topic about the Europe stuff not fitting on the American stuff. Oh, here's a weired one... have you ever taken a pic with it hanging up infront of your car or taken the bumper off and tried to mount the ST200 one on and taken a pic then??? Oh well just curious, I'll stop bugging you now.

Since I have no money for custom paint yet, I have not removed the factory front bumper to mock it up when it's painfully obvious how much work will be involved in the swap. The area around the headlights and front fender will need filled/sanded. The front bumper mount will have to be stripped and possibly custom refabricated. The good news is that at least the fenderwell holes will be close to lining up, so at least I can have something easy to get it to stay on the car while glassing it in.

Buy stock in the Bondo company now while it's still low...
