Anyone have some step-by-step instructions on how you prepped your dash peices for painting? How about some product reccomendations.

I used primer on my read door handles, it didn't work!
but I'd clean the surfaces really well with some rubbing alcohol, to remove any grease or built up dirt. Maybe a light sanding with a real fine grit sand-paper and then paint and let it sit till it's compleltely dry. If you don't have to use the car for a couple of days that'd be even better so the paint could cure before you reinstall it.

1. Wash all parts in dish detegent to remove any oils from the surface
2. Sand w/ 400 grit
3. Primer
4. 2-3 coats color
5. 2-3 coats clear coat

I used Duplicolor spray paint and primer because the spray nozzle puts out a nice, smooth stream. Mine looks like it came out of the factory painted.
