Thats brutal! I have had that happen before though. My old GM threw the braking material off of the backing plate. I got to drive home with the e-brake. The next day the auto parts store replaced the pads and rotors for free.  It probably helped a little that I was working at said store.

Ryan,didn't we discuss the 'other potential probs' with your car when you had the clutch put in........ ;)Found it Work Order # 67360.....'points noted during strip down *Front & rear motor mounts/'shock,all show signs of wear and will need replacement over next few monts*All tires are low on tread and close to 'wear bars'*W/pump and alt drive belts should be replaced over next couple of months(cracks/wear)*Front brake pads show signs of uneven pad wear on inner pad,both sides,suggest new pads in spring*...!!!!!what more can I add!

Everyone needs to take a deep breathe. No, Stazi we didn't check the pin. Steve, the new brake stuff is from Stazi anyhow, I just didn't have the money yet when we were at his house. Terry, I did exactly what your work order said and I've began replacing those things in the spring (now). I have the stuff for the back. Andy W, I do regular maintenance checks, so did Ford. Spatt, yeah I have been taking it real easy on the new brakes. Todras, yeah...it always sucks getting told by "The Man"  Me, back to work now.

Those rotors look like they have more grooves than a 45!  I just replaced my rotors BTW

I could beat that, my 93' Grand Caravan the left from brake pad was worn to the metal so the brakes were metal on metal i would say for a good 100+ miles, i didn't even want to look at what it looked like so i just had someone else do the job...i do bad maitnence (sp)so i asked for it

If you take a closer look, thats what happened to me too....metal on metal. I went well over 100 miles like that though. And yes, I am braging for those of you wondering.
