OK, here's what I did.

Put the oil pressure sender unit in the head location that's been discussed. HOWEVER, the sender unit that came with the Autometer guage would not fit directly into the head because of lack of clearance, so I got a 12" braided pressure line made up with the proper fittings and did a remote location of the sender, secured to something by tie straps. Works like a charm.

Oil temp unit was more involved. I dropped the oil pan, drilled out for the sender unit, and reinstalled. My meter shows oil temp runs at between 200 to 210 degrees at operating temperature. Prior to doing this install, I did read stories about the oil temp being lower there, but i have not found this to be true. And the install literature that came with the Autometer guage does state to put the temp sender unit in the oil pan.

Hope this helps, good luck.

I've located the oil galley in the head, but
there is a Knock senser mounted right next to it.
I don't think I am going to have enough clearance for the Oil Pressure Sender.
Is there another location ???

Are you sure you are at the right one?
Mine fit there no problem.I have a 98,cant see there being any difference.
Its one the back head, against the firewall.Itll fit.Look at the pic I posted,is that the same place?

I think the variable is how big the sender unit is. The one that came with my Autometer Phantom Gauge was too big.

Others may fit....it just depends on what you have.

Instead of using the electircal guage why don't u get the mechanical gage. All that is is a fitting with either a nylon or brass line that takes to right to the gage no snding unit involved. Took me all of 10 mins to complete the job.
