how much tightening is "enough", and it doesn't spill oil all over when you take off that hex nut?? I must get me one of these pressure gauges....my paranoia is getting the best of me...

HWCM, Im in northern Virginia, but thanks for the offer to help since Im so lost and the guys at the shop couldn't figure it out either. Thanks to your pics, I see where the pressure unit should go, I just havent put it in yet. So basically, Im just wondering where to and how to install the temp unit? I have no idea, maybe a t-fitting of a line or something or is there a place to install that too? Oh yeah, and one last question, do you happen to have a picture of how the wire connects to the units? Does it just go under the nut on the back? Seriously, thanks for all your help so far.

Yeah under the nuts.
But be sure you put the right wires in the right places!
There should be tags on the terminals that get the signal from the senders.Dont hook 12v to these, you will damage the guages!
What I did was starting at the top guage, with guages in the pod, wire the ground wire to the top guage, then tap the next guage into the first then tap the last guage into the second guage, and from there run the ground wire to a good ground. There is one under the drivers side sill.Do this same method to the 12v,but run it to the fuse box,tap into a fuse that is only on when the key is in the on or acc position.
For the sending unit wires, just run them through the engine in a way so as they dont touch anything that would melt them or chaf/cut them, then into the cabin VIA a hole down by the clutch cable/near fuse box (its up in there, way up).
From there its all about buttoning it up,and your done. laugh

I've got a 98.5 SE Sport ATX and I need to install my Oil Pressure Sender as well.

I've located the oil galley in the head, but
there is a Knock senser mounted right next to it.
I don't think I am going to have enough clearance for the Oil Pressure Sender.
Is there another location ???
