The early Mondeos were available as 4x4, only in the 2.0 16V Si and Ghia trim though. Very rare, there are still a few going around today but I don't think a lot were made. The last production of them was around 1996 IIRC.
I've never driven one but apparently the handling was excellent and it was the first production car in the world to have individual wheelspin control to all four wheels through the TCS system.
