they come that color.
you actually have to send him your oval and he cuts out the plastic mesh and seperates the chrome/plastic from the backing and sandwiches the aluminum mesh in between and reattaches the chrome ring.
sounds messy and difficult, but he did a great job on mine!!
when you get it back all you have to do is reattach your oval and swap in the lower front and rear piece..whick is fairly easy.
