believe it or not, the current limitations for the acc. wire on some decks is as low as 120mA (it's ussualy between 150-350 though). and to make things worst, most of the time there not fused. i know of a few unfortunate people who made this mistake already (of course they were trying to run a lot more than a couple leds), they didn't expect the limitaions to be that low.

I read the quick how-to he wrote, so im assuming he know alot about electronics, this is just a reminder.

the least you should do is double check the current limitaions.

I am not worried about it. The wire is fused before and after where I spliced in. If something is going to happen it will pop one of the fuses first. BTW the stereo is a Sony CDX-C910, which is a passive HU which means it doesn't need all the power that HU's that have internal amps need.

The picture really doesn't do them justice. They look really nice in person. I am not a big fan of neon. I like the fact that with leds I can choose where I want the light to go. Plus they can be easily hiden. I don't want a huge neon tube hanging out for everyone to see. :p

Hey I have a blue Low Glo kit under my black SVT and you can't see the tubes. It looks awesome! I would show pics but my scanner is screwed and I haven't had time to put them on a disk.

I hooked it up to the ground wire that I hooked up a while ago for some crappy lights that I took out a long time ago. You can probably use the one on the stereo with out any problems.
