Talking to someone about this same thing and they brought up some good points. These are not my views, but thought I would share anyway. Our cars oiling system is designed a certain way regarding the filter. Changing location of the filter may cause some issues with oil pressure increasing to get through the plumbing to the remote location. this may cause stress inside the engine to have to move more oil to a higher location. also in regards to filter types, the higher flowing filters may tend to cause oil to circulate quicker out of the top of the engine in the heads. Less oil up there is not a good thing. again, these are comments I was given and not necessarily my views. Maybe Mr. Haines could elaborate on the most efficient oil filter configuration.
