It was fast as hell, but had some alignment problems. It always worked best on the 'orange' roads. Unbelievably quiet exhaust tone.......

It's not my first car, but it's the only one I have pics of on my computer.

this isn't mine, but very similar.......

I had a silver 79Z, no t-tops
350 built a bit/th350 trans also beefed up
crap a$$ gears in the rear
It ran mid 13's @ 105-ish, and I could still keep it in second gear!(winding the motor way too high for a SB Chebby) I would have loved to actually put a good gear set in the rear to see what it would have done. My 60ft times were nasty with the highway gears mad

It was a very fun car when I was 17 in '89. There were all the 5.0's, GTA's, IROC's, GN's and the like to beat up on.

Well, mine was black, but you get the point. I had the Turbo Z. Pretty quick for only 140 horses, but it had too much turbo lag. I wish I could have gotten the IROC edition, but hey, you can't complain about your first car.

1976 Datsun 710 Hardtop ... a hand-me-down with a blown engine and plenty of dents but not too much rust. The white paint had turned to chalk. My dad and I swapped in an L20B from a 620 pickup (about 135hp in a ~2300# car) and I fixed up the body and painted it 1971 Corvette Electric blue.

Didn't get around to putting rims on it -- didn't have that much $$ in high school, so the Kmart special wheel covers had to do the trick on those 13" steelies. Went through 2 1/2 sets of tires in the 2 years that I owned it. laugh It was quick.

Bought it when I was 14 with 31k miles on it. It was Cameo Beige at the time. Total Granny car, with a 250 ci straight six and a powerglide. Got it for 1200.00 in 1988. Went through a 6 year on and off restoration time and started driving it in 97. 88-91 it was in the barn sitting around waiting for me to get money.

We put a virtually stock '66 327/275hp engine in it, which i'm planning to modify a bit.

I don't know if I have a pic but mine was a 89 Ford Probe GT Turbo. It had power nothing but it had a computer controlled adjustable suspension. It was bright red inside and out, I really started to dislike red after driving it for two years. Man I really miss that car, it was faster than he11!

Was that the year that had lights in everything. I think I might have drove that bodystyle. Just remember buckling up and the freakin belt latch had like a led in it. It seemed to be a pretty fast car though or was it the torque steer and the wore out shocks. I remember shutting the car off as soon as I ran the heck out of it and then I pulled down the visor. The visor read before shutting off car allow like 30 seconds or something for the turbo to cool down. I was like sh*t. Oh well
