1976 Datsun 710 Hardtop ... a hand-me-down with a blown engine and plenty of dents but not too much rust. The white paint had turned to chalk. My dad and I swapped in an L20B from a 620 pickup (about 135hp in a ~2300# car) and I fixed up the body and painted it 1971 Corvette Electric blue.
Didn't get around to putting rims on it -- didn't have that much $$ in high school, so the Kmart special wheel covers had to do the trick on those 13" steelies. Went through 2 1/2 sets of tires in the 2 years that I owned it.
It was quick.
