My first car was a cast-off from my folks when they moved away and left me and my bro at home. I had just got my license and insisted that I keep the car for shopping.

What car is it? It's a 1990 Nissan Cefiro, with a 2.0 liter straight-six and rear-wheel drive. The hot models had a 24-valve head and a turbo and 200 horses, but my folks, on a budget, got a used 12-valve automatic non-turbo, with steel wheels... I wasn't too happy, but they insisted on a cheap car for me to learn on. The car you see above is identical to mine, except for the exhaust (which was a double chrome tip on mine, stock) and those wheels.

Had my first power-oversteer moment in that baby. Also, had my first (and only) accident...

I'm so nostalgic now I think I'm going to cry... I miss you, baby

The only mod that was on this beaut were 15" Wal-Mart special hubcaps cause one of the stockers fell off going down the highway. Damn Probe saw more mechanic time than it did in my driveway! (not that the GMC is faring much better).

My second car was a 1989 Probe LX. That thing was SLOOOOW. Had the 4 banger and everything was computer controlled. Almost looked like something off of James Bond inside. The paint was the worst paint ever. Had a $2K paint job done to it and still didnt do it for me. So I sold her and bought my Contour. Seems like I wasn't the only one with this car. I would take the turbo Probe though. I have seen a Mazda with the same turbo motor cranking out 356 FWTQ.

It was a Black '81 T-bird w/ 302. Vacuum actuated headlights till the pump went south. I just kept em proped open.


It was steady pimpin' in '92. laugh Everyone called it the Thunderchicken. Hey I bought her for $700. Put a new P/S pump in for $300. Added new tires and exhaust and she only ran for a year before the engine let go. Then I bought a '90 2.3 Mustang hatchback. Put some nice American Racing chromes, a system, tint. She wasn't fast but she was purdy. Drove her for 5 years with no problems. Just regular maintenance and a new radiator. Paid 5,200 for her too and she only had 44k. Drove her until 112k. Got my money outta that car. Not fun in the winter. Had to put weight in the back.

A 1990 Grand Prix that I got the week after I graduated from High School. The car was a certified money pit and was in the shop at least once a month. By the time I had went through 2 engines I had to get rid of it and my next car was the SVT that I bought when I was 21.

When it was running good the GP was a solid car, decent power/comfort/features although not much to look at. An ugly car like that is really beneficial at such a young age though because you have to develop other attributes to get the finer females instead of relying on your car. because of that bad boy my game is top rated nowadays laugh

i love it as if it were the only car i will ever have...she was a bare bones 96 gl...everything i changed made her my own...got her in 1998 with 8,000 miles...she was just a pup...

its 2002, and now she has just turned 30,000 miles...still has plenty left and many to go...
