I added an original under-hood courtesy light to my 2000 SE. It's from a '95 model Contour and fits like it belongs there(all holes for the clips and screws are already there). I hooked one wire to ground and the other to a 12v source, but this just keeps it on all the time(I wrongly assumed that the light had a built-in mercury switch to cut it off and on-like all the other under-hood lights I've seen). I went to the junk yard this morning and found two Contours-both '95 models. One had the light, the other didn't(although it did have the pigtail to plug one in). I looked all around for some kind of plunger switch, but found none. What cuts these things off and on? The Haynes manual shows a switch with the power wire going to fuse #35-the right side corner marker lamps. But I could find no switch.

Any ideas?

BTW, both '95 'tours had manual windows(I haven't seen many of these). I also grabbed a chrome antenna bezel to put on my car.
