I ordered a used guage cluster for a 89-94 240sx. Got the whole guage cluster for $40 shipped! The picture above is a 94 240 sx guage cluster. He told me the same thing about the Eclipse guage needles but the needles on the 240sx are a very close fit (lenght wise). The Eclipse needles dont look as long, and as it is I feel the 240sx needles will be a tad bit shorter than stock needles. I hope to have this mod complete next weekend and I'll post pics when I'm done. I hope those 240sx needles fit, if not I'll make em fit!

So will they fit on a 98 gl?? What all do you have to buy to hook them up?

I'll bet it works on non SVT's with the white needles. I believe it states that you use your stock needles. I think I might try this.

I already recieved the 240SX needles and a set of new gauges. The Intelliglow Needle kit should arrive today. The 240sx needles are very close to stock in lenght. The 2 smaller needles for fuel and radiator fluid temp will have to be trimmed down a bit as they are a tad too long. The big question is will the 240sx needles make a good fit into the small meteal rod that the stock needles plug into. I dont know if I will have the chance to do all this Sat/Sun but if not next weekend for sure. As promised, I will post pics and tell you how it's done!

If they won't work on SVT needles, couldn't it be possible to go to a junkyard and get some non-svt needles and put them in place or would that throw off the speedo?

It would be possible, but as anyone who's changed their gauges will tell you, you have to be careful to get the needles in exactly the right place again. It's not impossible though!

If you have an OBD-II cable, you should find it much easier since you can drive with the OBD-II connected, and have someone read the speed off the laptop while placing the needle exactly in place.
