Last I've heard, the Sho-Shop ones have been re-designed with floating mounting points to address the broken struts issue.

Still garbage IMO, Nothing should mount to the struts period!

Here's my front strut brace-it's a Weichers Sport aluminum model from Tuning Zubehor(imported from Germany). Also noticed better turn in, and tightened up the rear with a matching bar. cool

Ok guys, the Weichers Sport bars came with nuts and bolts for a reinforced installation, I believe it's becuase these are the bars used on some of the BTCC cars, so they were built for high stress. The front bar is a "twin tube" design, no adjustability, and sells for $234(aluminum), and $139(steel,I think). I was very happy when the bar arrived to see that it was twin tube, and had a nice reinforcement plate connecting the 2 tubes with 2000 Mondeo stamped on it. The rear bar is just a straight bar with a wing on each end to attach to the rear towers. Drilling and bolts are needed for the rear also, and the price is $139(aluminum) and $99(steel). I found the bars in the catalog that they sent me, called them up and ordered them, front was in stock, but the rear was out of stock and had to be imported from Germany, needless to say it took a couple of weeks.
