the mustang race was great. It's a 5pd GT right?? A friend of mine has one, I told him I wanted to race from a roll say like 30 in second gear. But, from a dead stop it didn't look like he got you that bad!!! Give me details! What RPM did you launch at?? How many cars did he get you by? Do you think you would have been able to regain that space if you had more room?? 
I have raced my buddy in his 01 gt and he made me look like I was standing still. They will not only leave you from the start but they will leave you from a roll. The new mustang is a diffrent breed of 4.6 that runs sub 14's all day long. On top end it doesn't run out of breath like the five liters would. The only place that i would race a new gt would be on a road course. I am sure there are many contours faster than mine but I still don't see them beating 99 on up gt. Not flaming just trying to save you some gas and rubber.
