No one has done it. The usual answer is "buy a new car" but it is possible. However, the costs associated with all of the parts needed is usually too much.

It would be cool to see someone try, but it just isn't worth it. The costs would be sky high and by the time you finish the transplant you would realize that just trading in the car for an MTX would have been way easier. Trade the car for an MTX and use the extra money you saved to add forced induction

In theory if you got a donor car with the same engine of the same year, all you would have to do is swap the trans, wiring, computer, and add the foot pedals. On the bright side, if the donor car had a tach, and yours didn't you could add that too!

Swap master cylinders, slave cylinder, have to install the shifter tower, brackets, underbody mounts... shall I go on... There's a reason someone laughed... You want a MTX, buy an MTX car. Far easier and cheaper.

Ive converted Mustangs from auto to stick, It has never been that difficult and has never ever been more expensive then buying another car. Like someone mentioned, get a donor car and start converting, I just have to find a good deal. I f I got rid of the car i have now I wouldnt know the history of the new car and all that other good stuff, so getting rid of it is not really an option. On top of that I think that my auto is getting ready to crap the bed, and a dealear will surely charge me a pretty penny to do that repair. i was just trying to see if anyone had details on the swap.If I decide to do it Ill be sure to put up a post, but it wont happen until next Spring. thanks everyone.
