Stupid ?......
Perhaps someone could take some PIAA 510-style lights and mold a plastic piece to fit the remaining open space? Or somehow use the existing reflector assembly by pushing them on? Just an idea.

Morretes wont fit. The lights are a different length and width, The bumper angle and bonnet (Sorry Hood) angles are different and the mounting points are not the same. (Not even close)
The sub frame on the Mondeo is different and the bumper mounts are in different places to (Front and rear). Our emissions tests are as strict as yours but European crash tests are different so like most manufacturers they design the bodywork to pass the local crash tests and nothing else, so blame Mr Nader for no Mondeo's in the US

Yep, the Mk2 Mondeo (Post 95) is worse than the Mark 1 (93-95)

i need to see it myself to believe it. the likelyhood of the headlights of our cars being THAT different seems slim to me. It just wouldn't make financial sense for Ford to develop 2 completely different designs for the same car.
I bet they would fit with minor alterations. although, i think the pre-98 lights would be easier.

There's at minimum an inch of difference between the lights and, like previously stated, the mounting tabs aren't even close. Someone had a picture of these things loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong ago, at least over a year ago. Still, if you're good with 'glass and bondo, go for it!
