Actually by law Dealerships are supposed to set any new instrument clusters to the reading of the removed guages. None do this though. I've had a friend with a Ranger that at 20,000 miles had to have a new cluster put in because the speedometer died. He got a new set with 0 miles...that's the best warrenty exstension in my mind.
