Let me know what you guys think, even though it's not an SVT...or even a Ford, for that matter.

I want you to know I am very jealous. I always have wanted to race one of those. Only from a roll though. I saw one last fall and it had some corvette rims and tires on it and man did it look great!!

Just thinking out loud here, but would there be any way to put the Typhoon engine and tranny in a newer style Jimmy (95-01)? I used to drive a 94 Blazer for work, and then had a 96 Jimmy. The interior and exterior of the 96 is leaps and bounds better than the 94 (and they kept making improvements in the years after that as well). The engine and platform stayed pretty much the same throughout, so what's stopping this from happening, besides the money?

I like the Typhoons a lot. Have you ever repainted that thing because it doesn't look like you have a single stone chip on the front(Photoshop)? Do you drive that in the winter, if so how does it handle compared to a normal blazer? How is the interior holding up for rattles, etc? I was thinking about getting one of these too just because I am kinda getting sick of storing my car every winter. With the Typhoon you can have fun all year long. The only problem is that around here it is hard to find a good one for a decent price. Thanks, LOOKS GOOD!!!

Yeah, it was repainted with metallic flake paint, there are actually a few stone chips up front but they are very hard to see. I try not to, but I do drive it around in the winter, and it handles beautifully. The interior is still perfect, but Typhoons are notorious for a squeaky back window.

As for the "boxy and ugly" comment, I mean, that was the style at the time. Granted the thing's an f'in brick on wheels, but I think that is what gives it so much charm. Riceboy can spend $4000 and up making his Civic look as aerodynamically tuned as possible, and he never expects blocky mcblockenstein to blow his doors off.

I think "i wouldn't be caught dead in one" is pushing it though, don't you think? i didn't know Typhoons were as despised as they were loved. most people compliment it, but i guess different strokes, huh?

oh, and phatsvt, from a roll of 50+, an SVT would most likely take care of a Typhoon no problem...you know aerodynamics aren't on our side.
