Decided to use my day off today to spruce up the exterior.

Added some cheapo side markers from Pep Boys and a short chrome tail pipe barely visible in first pic.

Thanks! Now all I have left on my exterior mod list is mesh grill and bat suspension kit. The 17" cellos with tires (Dunlop SP 9000) mounted from tirerack.com were about $1100...I think. That was a while ago.

Try to get a good pic of the tail pipe. I'm curious to what it looks like, but over looks pretty sweet.

So that's what side skirts look like with regular SE bumpers. Great... you convinced me to get some!

Love the side marker mod. How did you do it? How expensive?

BTW, those are not the SVT skirts (if that is what you are thinking they are). They are the SE skirts....

Yes those are the SE side skirts just in case you couldn't tell.

The side marker mod was very easy except for widening the hole in the fender. Took about 4 hrs total including strengthening the fixtures with 3M bonding glue before putting them on the car.

The existing hole was not large enough and required some widening. I used a pair of pliers to bend out the existing holes, then used a coat hanger to run wires from inside the engine bay from the hole by the hood latch to the fender hole. Next I removed the headlight fixture to get at the parking light fixture, then spliced the ground wire from the light fixture to the parking lamp black wire (ground) and power wire from the light fixture to the parking lamp blue wire with the orange stripe. Its only setup to work with the blinkers. I'm considering adding the parts to have it work with the parking lamps and blinkers but want to leave it as is for now. There is a pretty extensive write up in the Mods section that I referred to while putting mine in, helped a lot.

$16 for both fixtures which included everything. I bought an additional set of white bulbs cause I didn't like the amber ones that came with the package.
