I pulled up next to an auto WRX. He ripped it off the line, I gave him first gear til I pulled past him and dropped it in 4th. Watched the idiot finally get the turbo in and do a 'massive lane change at high speed finally' in front of me. Had to laugh. I want than Marauder. Nothing beats torque, and waiting for boost just does not impress me, nonwithstanding the way ugly Subaru 'styling'. Man, that's a tiny car, the WRX. Would hate to sit in the backseat. Reminds me of the Golf GTI, but way more expensive and not much better made. I'll keep the SVT for now, I think. I bet the mtx WRX is fun but yep it's too ugly to be seen in.
98 CSVT, basic mod's, my slowest car yet but still faster than the wife's Talon Tsi AWD. Not by much, though. Now if I could get the back wheels to do something....

If it was auto, and he did pull you out of 1st, you MIGHT gain on him by about 120mph. Doesn't sound like the scenario though. You see the auto doesn't lose boost between shifts and it's a no brainer to launch. Ed

Hey, I'm just telling how it went. There are plenty cars w/WRX perf that don't have plastic wings all over. Autos w/turbos are not my preference. If you don't care what you're seen driving get a new Neon turbo, it'd prob smoke my svt if built right. Whatever. WRX's are not that great off the line from what I've seen and there are plenty here, trust me, and they all want to race everything....I don't blame 'em really. I'd buy the Marauder in a heartbeat if it gets the 6sp., and meet anyone at a stoplight. Got the poster/ad in the mail today from Merc...looks nice, no wings, no scoops, smokin' 245/18's on a track with leather buckets and a real nice dash, too. Hey, it's all preference.

I have one spoiler, the stock one. It's kind of similar to the one the SS gets, or the Cobra.
If the WRX isn't that great off the line, then why did he pull you???
Anybody seen the Superbird? The originator of the huge wing concept...IIRC it was American designed and built.
I'm done with this numbnut.
