Here;s a pic of mine, I painted the trim ring around the shift boot to tie in the B&M with the head unit.
Just to give you another idea...

They do. I don't like the shape of it though.

Does the shifter reduce throw only by reducing the actual height of the shifter? I thought it would reduce throw by means of some kind of levering effect or something, rather than just by making the actual shifter shorter.

How about feel? Does it affect the feel in any way, crisper, stiffer, etc.?

The whole geometry of the shifter has changed, not just height. It is a lot smoother on shifts as well. A few people remove the centering spring to make it feel a bit looser.

Not accurate...

The centering spring is removed so it doesn't try to throw the shifter into the stop between 2nd & 4th on the 1 - 2 shift... That sucks! I know from experience..

Plus it makes the shifter feel a lot more precise and give more accurate throws since the centering spring isn't always trying to pull it to the center (VERY pronounced with the B&M installed!)

IMO (and any one who has tried mine - I have converted a few folks wink ) it is infinitely better with the spring disconnected (but left on) - quick job to do it too...

I have been converted by the Demon smile.

Sorry, couldn't resist! laugh It does feel a lot smoother now, mainly the 1-2, but ohhhh so smooth!
