I went back looking for some info on that truck, but was unable to locate it anymore. IIRC, the truck does have the positive displacement blower bypassed at "higher" rpm (I believe it is rather aggresively pullied) in favor of the centri unit. I do remember the plumbing is rather complicated. And though I'm not sure, I suspect the pos. dis. blower is clutched to release when bypassed.
Regardless, SilverSnake is right about the turbo/super Lancia's of yore.
And that T-bird guy has a website, if I can scare it up I'll post it.

So how much faster would the Head gaskets go bad on theses double pumped machines? Hmmm sweet setups Joe
