it cost me $2000 on top of the $4500 worth of insurance work that had to be done. that price was discounted as a personal favor by my body guy who's been doing my family's insurance work for the past 30 years. i wouldn't even want to know the cost if I took it to a custom shop though, I got quoted everywhere from $3500 all the way to $5000 for a color change .

i like it... iwould like it more if it had sparkels... mabe it does, but I cant tell from the picture......but love it

So is the engine bay still black? How do they go about painting that? I'm guessing the engine wasn't pulled.

gold sparkles are cool on lowriders but I've seen one too many cars shot to hell in Detroit with cheap paint work and sparkles in the paint. On some cars it doesn't seem to last. I wanted to make the car as clean looking as possible so thats why I ended up choosing the paint I did.

There was a nice black SVT on here a month or so ago that had red flames with sparkles that looked really good btw.

Anyone know?

most every nook and cranny was painted orange but I had him keep the engine bay black because of what I want to do looks-wise to the engine compartment. Plus it would have been pretty difficult to get in there I would guess. But under the under side of the hood itself, trunk lid and everywhere else is the new color.

I take it that you don't like his car either Antonio Maybe when you see that car in person you'll like it, I'll make sure to park next to him so you can check both of our cars out together :p

yeah I was wondering the same thing as well, but its cool though, i knew going in this would be a color that some people wouldnt like.
