OK the best one is for last...

I took these pictures (and the movie) for some case modding contest and I thought I'd post them up here to see what people think.

First a list of everything I did. I tried not to be TOO flashy with the outside appearance.

This is a Nikao MT-2000 case.
1. Side window with red filter.
2. Blue cold cathode
3. Red sound activated lightning neon
4. Changed the original LEDs for blue ones.
5. Fit buttons for neons on a drive bay cover
6. beefed up the video card
7. I don't like the wire looms so I made my wires with sprial wrap.

This is one of the first pictures I took. I didn't do the wires yet and or the LEDs but I included this one to show how nice the blue and red lights look.

This is a recent picture of my computer. What's that on top of the computer? It's a tachometer, which is on top of my monitor now.

This is a picture of it in the dark. The camera couldn't focus. Sorry about the bad quality of this one.

This is what the inside looks like with the sprial wrap. It's actually not as messy as the picture shows it to be... I was moving stuff around and took a quick pic. If anybody noticed my plextor isn't even in the drive bay.

OK so those were the pictures of my computer. Anybody still wondering WTF the tach was doing on top of my computer? watch the movie and you can see it in action. That's right it shows how much work the CPU is doing.

EDIT: The video is encoded with DIVX 4.02. If you don't have it take the time to get the codec cuz the codec is only like 500K and the video is pretty cool!

Thanks Perry. If it was my own creation I would gladly share it with all the CEG people but the thing is that it's something my friend is working on to sell. It actually doesn't even run in ME we've only tested it and gotten it to work on XP so far.

I use XP, but I could test it in ME..... wink

When's he ready to sell them things, lemme know.

How bout a whole guage package? Could he do a temp guage tied into CPU temp? Control the fans w/ a digital doc, put one of them on a tach, and put CPU usage on a 0-100 speedo... Not that I could afford anything like that, but it'd be sweet!

Yup the window and neon lights are PC mods stuff. The buttons have little clips on them so if you drill the exact size it will clip right in. It was easy for me to do that since my dad's a CNC machinist and he has every possible drill size available to him. smile

Kai, I encoded it with the new Divx 4.02 codec. I think you can get it from www.divx.com.
