Britany Spears is not hot, she is more on the cute side of the spectrum. Let me explain.
Cute Girls - A girl, where if you passed her on the street (if she wasn't famous) you would say, wow she is cute, probably give her a once over, and be on your way (unless you had intentions to hit on her). Also, cute girls can be ignored by a certain amount of the male population as they only are attractive to a certain percentage.
Hot girls - These are the drop dead supermodel types, who fit the waife category. Christina Aguillera fits this category, as her body is small, tight, toned, thin, etc. (I hate her stupid hair though). This is a girl who gets most of the male population interested as it meets the societies idea of what "beautiful" should be. (Hence all the models who are thin as a rail).
See, there are definitely differences, thus Britany Spears is not hot, but cute, and Christina Aguillera is hot.
