Excellent! I dig the car. I like the Focus and would probably kill for a new RS!

Man oh man. No cardoc, the 3L is not an idea, its in the works right now. The zetec put out more power than the duratec? What ya smoking? The zetec would be CHEAPER to make faster than the duratec yes, but, given equal mods...come on lets play fair...such as turbo, s/c, N20, no way the zetec would produce as much power as a duratec with the same mods. As far as being heavier, well, the zetec is iron block, the duratec aluminum...after custom headers exhaust, smaller battery etc, etc, I expect my duratec to be within 50 lbs or less of the zetec, probably better. The handling comes from not setting the duratec deep enough against the fire wall, a plan we are going to exploit to the fullest. I already have stiffer springs in the front for the ground controls. 500 lb/in springs reside below the zetec waiting for the duratec. Someone asked why not turbo. My motor will produce more power than the typical aerocharged zetec, and a will be a lot less peaky. I love the duratec, and Im not ready to give it up. Fords own fr200 runs 13.5's, the fastest turbo street driven zetec right now runs 13.9's...I expect mine to be faster than that by at least a full second. Brad N...projectors? Nah, the focus wasnt born rice and I sure dont feel like cooking some up anytime soon. The hightower job, Im thinking about. But let me tell ya, Chris does not charge ENOUGH for the work it takes to do that. My buddy and I started his yesterday, and 5 hours later he was 90% done...with the first headlight. Chris, you da man. Thanks for all the complements guys! I post my focus and duratec plans and lose my 5 star rating!? Jealousy sucks.

Nice car, even if the best parts (wheels & engine) are from an SVT! And MUCH nicer than another crude turbo 4 banger.

And MUCH nicer than another crude turbo 4 banger.Actually, the parts from my SVT were Totally intentional and thought out. I wanted to keep a few things to carry over to my focus, so as not to foget the svt I loved so much. Mainly...the soul. You bring up another good reason Im doing the swap. How many zetec turbo foci do you think will be running around a year from now? Exactly. More than I can count. How many 3L duratec Foci will be running around in a year? Exactly. One.

Damn Bill you beat me to it! I was gonna say "Because anyone can turbo a focus, but it's unheard of to drop a 3.0 into a Focus" Mad props to ya!

Very nice! SVT rims look right at home.
I'll be looking for some Focus take-offs in a few months...namely the 17" Focus SVT wheels!

Thats a cool ride you got there One thing that I would change is to get the 99 Cobra center caps and have them painted to match your ride, but one thing though, the 99 Cobra caps are alittle recessed. Also I assume that you'll be getting the Focus SVT headlights and the European tailights right? Again that is one smoooooooooth looking Focus
