How did you attach the knob to the metal rod?! The screw doesn't line up (side for OEM, front for the new knob)! Ugh, I hope I don't have to drill into the damn metal shift rod. Also, did anyone else shorten the metal rod down for a 'short-throw' of the sorts?
A minor annoyance -- you have to double-push the OD button to get it to work.
LOL my shift knob came in a huge fricking box for like a small TV!

I had to drill in to the front of the metal rod to make so the shifter knob would stay in place and I just discounted the overdive button because I will never end up using it.

the whole point of getting the knob was to keep the o/d button in tact, otherwise, you could've gotten a knob for much cheaper.
No car anymore ;\ (taking a break from driving due to several misfortunate occurances) Newest mod for my Dad's Cobra 'vert: My beautiful girlfriend and I for passengers when we want to go somewhere

anyone know the model no. of the shiftknob from them that does NOT have the od button? that will fit on the tour... i already broke mine last year and re-wired it to a button on my cup-holder, so i dont need or really want one on my shifter.

already installed mine .... it stays on fine for me with the bottom three screws holding it... my dad and i didn't bother with the two larger ons in the middle ... weird thing though my o/d light would kick on the first 4 -5 times i started the car with the new shifter now it doesn't come on until i actually press the button , strange huh?

Yeah I just did the lower 3 screws and it fits fine. Thanks to those who helped, it looks f'n sweet!
