that last picture of the tinted out silver M3 looks like its from the '00 Detroit Auto Show. if not they had the same one there and people were literally bowing down to the car as soon as they saw it lol. I on the other hand was too busy trying to pick up my jaw...

Too bad this is photochopped, because it is bad ass! I would give my left nut for an S4...

Yea I know...When I first saw it I was like SWEET...with all four tires spinning! But once I enlarged it I could see it was photoshoped. I think it would be a hard choice to make between an M3 and a S4. On one hand you have quality performance and tuning from the M3, on the other you have a Twin Turbo which takes well to mods. With minor mods you could up the S4's Hp&tq quite a bit. I would think with the M3 there wouldn't be much more you could do other than maybe some sort of induction. I think everything stock is pretty much as good as it gets. Not sure thought, can anyone add? Later, Justin

... Or for less money you can get a fully loaded GTI 1.8t and turn it into something that shows its taillights to an S4 on asphalt and attracts more women than George Clooney... really! This fine example belongs to my best friend, it's SO much faster than my SVT I'm almost ashamed of my car. Chris H, where is that turbo kit?!? And those are really 19's he's running. With Bilstein PSS9 coilovers. Etc etc...

Thats a pretty sweet ride....But a bit to small for my taste... It would be sweet to have it as a 2nd or 3rd car! What has he done to it? Didn't realize 1.8t's were that fast. I love those wheels, what are they? Later

I can't remember all the mods that he's got on it there's simply too many...
- Cold air intake, K04 turbo w/ race wastegate & blow-off valve - Race manifold & downpipe, exhaust - Custom ECU burn - HKS Turbo Timer - The best suspension that Bilstein makes... - Everything that Neuspeed makes for VW... - The list goes on.
Last time I drove it, I was spinning the 235 rubber in 3rd gear when the boost was coming on. We dynoed it at 275lb/ft of torque and nearly 300hp.
On the highway it pulls more from 40mph to 80mph in 5th than my SVT in 3rd. Very embarassing.
Then again, throw the same amount of $$ at a 'tour and you'll be passing him. Only difference: nothing breaks on his car, even with that kinda power. All the 3.0 or s/c tours have had failures of some sort. That's over-engineering against cost-cutting I guess.

m3 or s4. for now its an s4. when the m3 gets 4 doors like it used to have, then there's no comp (well close)
silversvt, how does your friend like the pss9 setup. i've thought of contacting bilstein to see if they would consider a custom application if severable other people were interested. just curious if they would consider it. i'd loooooovvvvvvveeeeee to have that setup in my car.
...and yes, I did SEARCH first before asking.
