a lot of times the hydraulic wrenches they use at the factory get very very hot. so hot that the screws being put in will melt through the interior panels. this is why they seem so tight that they go through the plastic. this may also be the case.
Most people will probably have the same problem, i had similar problems on my VW, although not as much. laugh

just gotta be tenacious on this type of thing. ie. there is ALWAYS a way!
